Protecting your mental well-being while leading during turbulent times
The highly charged environment of world and domestic events is causing intense levels of stress and anxiety. You, your colleagues, clients and partners all have strong feelings about what’s happening today, and what might be coming tomorrow.
Unfortunately, as PR professionals the “out of sight, out of mind” approach of the past doesn’t work in today’s constant news cycle. Creating a space to safely discuss current events at work is essential to your well-being and those around you. We must tackle this challenge head-on and embrace difficult conversations as a benefit, not a burden.
Mark Mohammadpour, APR, Fellow PRSA, will lead a fully interactive conversation on personal and social civility and the effect of respect, kindness and empathy to build trust. You will learn actionable strategies to create a culture where you and every person you work with feel valued and heard. We’ll discuss:
- The role of – and opportunity for – the PR profession and professional to lead in this era.
- Relatable, practical and actionable steps you can immediately take to prioritize your well-being.
- The role of PR leaders to influence others on civility, respect and empathy.
- The power you have in reprioritizing events not in your control.
You will leave inspired to re-think how you think about current and future events and transform how you connect with those who matter most.
This is a virtual event. Access link will be provided upon registration. The Career Coffee series is free for members and $10 for non-members (per session). Space is limited.
