April is APR month – Invest in yourself

Published on 4/7/2021
If you have been thinking about joining the ranks of thousands of practitioners across the United States who have earned their Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), what better time than APR-il!

APR is not just three letters to put behind your name. It’s proof that you have demonstrated broad knowledge, experience, and professional judgment in the public relations field. Any PRSA member in good standing can earn their APR. Five years of professional public relations experience is recommended, along with either a bachelor’s degree in a communication-specific field or equivalent work experience.

Since the start of 2020, six Minnesota PRSA members have earned their APR – and you could be next! Visit the Minnesota PRSA website to learn more or contact APR Chair Jacque Smith at jsmith@stlouispark.org or 952.924.2632.

Learn more May 25
Want to learn more about the APR process? Join a free open house webcast Tuesday, May 25, at 2 p.m. (CDT). You can ask questions about the APR process, review successful study strategies, and hear from public relations professionals who have recently earned their APR. You’ll also learn more about the APR online study course, with a summer cohort starting June 1 and running through July 20.
