Help Us Support Future PR & Communications Professionals
Published on 12/3/2019
Dear Minnesota PRSA members,
A few weeks ago, I had the honor of speaking to current college students and recent graduates at the Student Relations committee’s PR Skill Spark event. Having the opportunity to connect with the attendees energized me; they were full of enthusiasm and curiosity.
Supporting and encouraging future generations within our profession has always been a core tenet for our organization. AND this event is just one of the ways our chapter helps students in Minnesota, western Wisconsin and the Dakotas prepare themselves to enter the profession.
As an adjunct professor, I know first-hand how valuable it is for students to connect with professionals and learn about the profession – both inside and outside the classroom. I also know that cost can be a barrier for many students to attend chapter programming as well as the PR Skill Spark and PR North events. Even with reduced student rates, costs can range anywhere from $10 - $30.
That is where you can help.
More than a decade ago, the Minnesota PRSA Student Fund (formerly the Fellows Fund) was created as a resource for students to be able to engage more deeply with the chapter and our membership.
In order to continue offering this resource to our students, I am asking you to consider making a one-time donation to replenish this fund for the upcoming year. Any amount will greatly aid our ability to continue offering connection, education and engagement opportunities for the next generation of PR and Communication professionals.
Please join me in keeping our Student Fund strong by making a donation

.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the chapter and profession!
Sincerely,
Eva Keiser, APR
Minnesota PRSA Immediate Past President
