Career Coffee: The Pursuit of the Perfect PR Practitioner

About this event

The pressure to be the perfect PR practitioner is a 24/7 job and many of us feel an immense amount of pressure to be perfect in everything we do, but perfect is subjective and means different things to different people. Perfection comes from many places – society, family, friends and even ourselves. It’s exhausting, far less impactful than we may think and it is also challenging to be truly happy when we are constantly striving for perfection. So, how do we navigate the path of perfection in the pursuit of happiness to ignite more purposeful living?

In this interactive and engaging session, Dr. Amelia Reigstad will guide participants on a journey to quiet our internal voice and put perfectionism on the back burner. Learn what perfectionism is and where it comes from, what the difference is between excellence and perfectionism, how perfectionism can lead to paralysis analysis, why the fear of risk-taking plays such a critical role in our happiness and strategies for overcoming perfectionism to live a more happy, purposeful and fulfilling life as a PR practitioner.

This is planned as an in-person event, location TBA (with a virtual option as backup in the case of inclement weather). The Career Coffee series is free for members and $10 for non-members (per session). Space is limited.
