DEI Virtual Event - Advocacy in the Workplace Requires Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
About this event
Minnesota PRSA’s Membership Committee is hosting a virtual meeting to help participants learn how to be effective advocates in the workplace. A panel discussion, moderated by Dan Hauser, APR, will examine some of the nuances in diversity, equity, and inclusion communications; how to highlight people without tokenizing them; and how to keep diversity, equity and inclusion at the forefront of every communications campaign.
The expert panelists are:
- Marsha Pitts-Phillips, APR; CEO and founder, MRPP & Associates Communications. Marsha is also a spokesperson for diversity, equity and inclusion and a PRSA National representative for Minnesota PRSA.
- Leah Kondes; senior director at Padilla’s corporate strategic advisory. Leah is a past Minnesota PRSA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer and serves as its volunteer liaison.
- Milagros Orcoyen, founder, president, and CEO of EntrePuentes. Milagros currently works as account assistant on the healthcare team at Ketchum Argentina and serves as Immediate Past President of the PRSSA International Committee.
The panel will be followed by interactive discussions in breakout rooms. Case studies and activities will be included.
