Minnesota PRSA Hosts Volunteer Event at Second Harvest Heartland

One of the core values of our organization is Advocacy. Not only do we advocate for our employers and clients, but we are also committed to serving the public interest. As PRSA members, we promise to be good stewards of the profession and have a positive impact on the community.

As a part of this promise, Minnesota PRSA is planning a community service event on Nov. 7 at Second Harvest Heartland, a leading hunger-relief organization in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Our Executive Committee and Board of Directors is looking for 25 member volunteers (non-member guests welcome!) to help sort and pack food at Second Harvest Heartland’s Brooklyn Park facility! The event takes place from 3:30-5:00 pm, and afterwards we will meet up at a nearby watering hole for refreshments and fellowship.

For those of you who have not done this before, it is a fun and fulfilling activity and a great way to bond with fellow members and guests. Second Harvest Heartland is an extremely well-organized operation and participation could not be easier.
